Freshorize was founded in 2002 by self-made-entrepreneur Aziz Patel. No stranger to long haul flights, Aziz recalls one flight in particular where he experienced unpleasant odors from the on-board lavatories. This incident was the catalyst for Aziz to find a solution to this all too common problem. A few months later, the concept of combining hand wash and air freshener into one bottle was born. What began as an idea to find a solution to a simple problem, evolved into an award-winning bottle design which was the first of its kind in the industry.
The Freshorize team has continued to focus on developing products with the constant aim to improve the in-flight passenger experience. Offering a range of products from skincare to cleaning, developing and producing eco-friendly materials, and specializing in bespoke products from bottle design to scent branding, Freshorize aims to lead the way through customization and innovation.
Proudly serving the Airline Industry with products such as hand soaps, lotions, sanitizers, interior aircraft cleaners, and a well-being line, all products are aimed at enhancing the passenger experience.
Journey to Green
Determined to positively impact the airline industry along with the rapidly changing needs of airline passengers and crew, Freshorize adopted a two-phase strategy towards sustainability that involved pursuing certifications from both ISO 14001 and Green Business Bureau, where they have achieved the coveted GBB Platinum status.
Along the way, they transitioned from plastic PVC bottles to PET bottles, and they offer refillable bottles for reducing waste. For a small airline, the use of refillable bottles translates to roughly 6,000 bottles that don’t need to be manufactured. Freshorize also analyzed their global supply chain for ways to optimize and enhance their business with more sustainable partners and suppliers.
Initiatives underway include the use of recycled plastic for their PET bottles and the release of a plant-based soap, currently in testing.
